Firefighters to the Rescue

(December 2017)

I am so grateful for Romneys job.
There are so many amazing things that come from being a firefighter
and the BROTHERHOOD is one of them.
These guys have been so great.
I needed help moving our bedroom furniture to make better accommodations for Romney and they came to move it.
I needed help with getting our Christmas Tree up and they came and put it up for us.

Romney was told NO YARDWORK after his surgery....
and guess who came again?
The firemen.
They cleaned our pool,
Put up our Christmas lights,
mowed our lawn,
trimmed the bushes,

They cleaned

and cleared the side hill

They even went down to the bottom of our property line
to clear out any high brush.

I was so so grateful for all these guys who came and helped our family.
They cranked out so much that I physically cannot do and that Romney is not allowed to do yet.
With every Thank You I said I got "no problem" in return.
AND...AND...
The fire guys had dinners brought in the first few weeks for us.
They were heaven sent.
It was so helpful.

Three weeks Post Op:

`needing less help to shower
`no more pain meds
`still cannot lay flat
`sleeps in recliner
`trying to not sleep in the day as much
`reading bedtime stories to the kids again
`joining us for dinner at the table
`shirts are still irritating thee incision site
`walking around the block
`had his first sneeze....IT HURT
`got the kids in the bath, but it hurt to lean over the tub to wash them

5 more weeks of a full recovery
