September 2020
Because we are still doing distant learning and the air quality from the fire isnt great, we decided to go up to my parents for a couple of days.
We packed the kids laptops and classwork and off we went.
They zoomed in the morning for their lesson and we played the rest of the day.
Baby Kit was loved on!
Smores were made at the fire pit!
It was Andies first time to make it waaaayyyyy up there.
Miles is now a pro at it.
He always walks away super proud how "little/young" he is when he over hears older kids/adults claiming its too high or too scary to climb.
It is a fantastic find.
It was soooo hot but so cool, so beautiful.
In the fall/winter there is water in the creek and its actually chilly behind the rocks without the sun...BUT the summer? It's HOT!
Every time.
It was so good for the kids to feel some normalcy to see their grandparents and hug them.
It was a good distraction from how hard distant learning is.
We did school and then had a new place to explore.
It was also good for our lungs to breathe clean air.
