Mothers Day Tea Party

Oh my goodness.
My heart could explode from so much joy and love.
I went to thee cutest Kindergarten Mothers Day Tea Party with Miles.
It was full of stations and giggles.
He was such a gentleman, and so excited to have me with him for 2 straight hours at school.
I was equally excited, I have waited many many years to go to a Mothers Day Tea Party.

The first station we went to together was the MOM necklace station.
We worked on and threaded my beautiful purple necklace and Miles was so proud to clasp the back for me.

The second station I was treated to a manicure by the one and only Mr. Miles.
He picked two colors for me.
A soft peach and baby blue.

He was so happy with his pattern design he created on my  finger nails.
(I did see other moms cleaning up the paint off their fingers but I couldn't. He was so proud)

The third station he served me muffins and juice and he gave me this darling hand print tile.

The last station we made a picture frame together.

Honestly my heart was so full.
I caught myself getting teary a few times.
Being a mom is so hard, but the very best thing a woman can experience.
He is my joy!
I am honored to be this boys mama.

On one more note....
my two favorites of the day....

1) this ring.
I cant even handle it.
I wore it with pride and will continue to every mothers day until the day I die.

2) this questionnaire.
Miles filling in the blank won me over.
I love his phonetic spelling so much.
I love that he said that  I am really good at "dooing the lonjree"
for those who dont read Kindergarten it says
I am really good at doing laundry.

Oh I love him.

New Accessories.

Several months ago we got a notice in Miles school bag about his vision.
It didn't say anything specific, it was just a notice saying he had a vision exam preformed.
I noticed the date was stamped on the note a whole month earlier.
I was kind of confused why we were just getting this notification.
So I called a couple moms and asked if they got a vision notice too.
Nope, non of them.
I thought it was kinda weird.

We went to dinner that night and I told Romney about the note and he said
"he doesn't need glasses!"
Romney then looked at Miles and asked him to "read all the letters on my shirt."
He didn't so great.
Romney said "oh, maybe he does need glasses?!"

So, we took him to the pediatrician where he bombed the eye exam there is the office.

Next stop: the optometrist.

Oh, he looked darling in that big chair,

with the big equipment over his tiny face.

And sure enough this boy is blind.
We had no clue.
We are so grateful the school does those screenings!
So, Miles left eye is very weak.
The doctor was shocked that his left eye hadn't gone wonky and cross eyed.
He has to wear an eye patch everyday for 30 minutes to strengthen that eye and wake it up-the doctor told Miles his eye is on a vacation.
We got him a pirate patch and he LOVES it and and wears it all the time.
He picked out some pretty cool specs, I'd say.

We had to wait 2 LONG weeks for those cool specs to come in and when they arrived, this boy was pumped!

The next morning on the drive to school he kept saying
everything looked "clean!"
It was adorable.
At drop off, the boys were getting out of the car and I told our super good friend Tyson to have Miles back if anyone teased him.
I quickly told Miles to be confident with his new look and watched him walk away seeing the world with his new eyes.

Two Days of Disney....

Disneyland gifted all the southern California firefighters 2 tickets as a thank you for their hard work from this past bad fire season.
So we decided to use them 2 days in a row.

Day one was our double date day.
Just us.
No kids.
It was so fun to be just us-no strollers, no snacks, no diapers, and no melt downs.

We went with our good friends the Tangs.

We laughed

and ate yummy food and had a darling server!

We drove home so tired, and set our alarm to wake up to do it again... but with the kids.

Day 2.
Miles was so excited to have Romney with us.
The kids and I go all the time, but to have Daddy with us, was a treat!

We spent the majority of the day at California Adventure.

We did the baby rides like Little Mermaid,

and big rides like Soaring around the World.

We loved Carsland

and had sugary churros at the cozy cone

We giggled in line for Mater

I rode by myself because the kids both wanted to ride with Dad.
I get it, he's cool.

We ended our day with hugs and kisses.

We were so ready to be done with the day.
We were exhausted.
Our feet hurt.
Our eyes burned.
Doing two full days was plenty for us.
Were not sure how out of towners do it.
But it was so so fun!
Watching the kids experiencing joy is worth it all.
AND, we really wanted one last family outing before baby brother comes.
and this was the perfect outing.

Thank you Disneyland for letting us bring our daddy for a day.
