a little break from the cold

Nothing is better than family in town. We missed one brother in Texas! Come soon Texas!
The weather was perfect all week for our Chicago visitors. This little hike in the sun was exactly what they needed to defrost from the 10 degree weather back home!
We already miss you Chicago kids!

Oh I can't believe how your family has grown! It wasn't that long ago when our mom's were teaching preschool together.. was it? ;)

Ok, so I have this random memory about you... that I think about often. One day you, Derek and I were in a hot tub. (no idea who's hot tub... did you guys have one?) Our parents were close but not right there. The 3 of us were walking around the seat part of the circular hot tub. I remember looking into the middle (the deeper part, where you put your feet) and seeing you completely under the water (not yet able to swim) with your big eyes starting up at me in a panic. You must have slipped down at some point. And then I remember pulling you up to the surface.

Such a random memory. But I've always remembered how easy and quickly someone can slip under water, without anyone noticing. Anyways, I'm sure you really wanted to hear my ramblings. But I do think about that often.

I love your family... even though it's been years since I've seen you guys. We had a lot of fun times. You're awesome! ;)
