More Halloween

October 2020

Surprisingly we had a lot of fun as we counted down to trick or treating!
We actually had a primary party!!!
We haven't been to church since March, it was so good to see our primary teachers and friends.
We had to be outside and there was hand sanitizer everywhere!
Masks were recommended BUT we didnt make our kids wear them.
And no one else wore them either!

There were fun stations that the kids rotated through!
Lane was adorable balancing the egg on the spoon.

Andie was pure joy to just be out with PEOPLE!

Every kid got an amazing candied apples to take home!

We weren't sure what Halloween was going to look like this year.
Were people going to pass out candy?
We just didnt know.
So a BIG group of people got together and put together a Halloween night for the kids.
We lined the cul de sac with tables for the kids to trick or treat at.
Most people had FUN activities for the kids to do along with candy.
It was so fun to see the kids dressed up running around together.
There were no masks, and no fear.
It was so sweet to see "normal"

Miles wanted to be a Mummy
Lane wanted to be a Monkey
And Andie who is sitting with friends going through their loot
wanted to be a bat.
It was such a fun night.
Everyone...including all the adults had the best time.

On the actual day of Halloween we had some friends over.
We caught donuts hanging on strings--NO HANDS allowed.

We made "mummy pizza"

We got ready for Trick or Treating....

We walked outside and saw that we had the best Halloween sky EVER.

We ended up trick or treating one street and it was pretty quiet.
But the kids didnt mind...not one bit.
Some houses were dark so we knew they were not participating this year.
Some homes had people sitting on the drive way passing out candy from a distance.
Some had a table at the end of their driveway with hand sanitizer and candy.
Some people opened up their doors wearing a mask and some didn't.
With all different strategies the kids still had a GREAT night.

 '
Baby Kit was a Fox
because a "kit" is a baby fox
...oh she's so cute.
 We loved our Halloween week.
