Friendsgiving

(November 2018)

The Friday before Thanksgiving break I got to go to Miles school to help with the Thanksgiving Feast.
All the first graders looked adorable dressed up.

I love that we are at the same school as cousins.
Sweet Addy girl.

It is a MUST every Thanksgiving break to make noodle necklaces.
Tradition.
We pick a few colors we want use and let the noodles soak in rubbing alcohol and food coloring of choice.

Once they have reached the color we are happy with, we pull them out of the liquid and let them dry over night.

And then we thread them the next day.
They are easy and they are fun.

The morning of Thanksgiving we got up and went on a walk with the Tangs and Frys.

We hurried home to get the turkey in the turkey roaster.
We were hosting FRIENDSGIVING (with Tangs and Frys).
Non of us had plans with our families this year so we all rallied together.

We weren't really sure if the turkey was fully cooked.
It was the first time we had used the Turkey roaster...
it took all of us to inspect....

The food was delicious

We had coloring sheets...
...word search, and leaves on the kid tables  (for leaf rubbing)

And after dinner the kids played game.

We love these people and are so blessed to have them in our lives.
They truly are family to us.
Happy Friendsgiving.

New Floors

(Late fall 2018)

Since the day we moved into this house we have wanted to put in new floors.
There was different tiles all throughout the house including the bathrooms.
We finally dug deep in our pockets to make it happen.
But in true Ellsworth fashion we decided we should do 2 weeks before Lanes sealing and blessing.
Our house was in shambles and we knew it had to be finished before we had a house full of people.
Why do we do this to ourselves?

But first, Romney had to float the floors.
The grout lines were too thick to lay new floors on.

As soon as the floor starting going in we knew what an improvement this was going to be!!

Andie was a big cheerleader for dad.

It was looking SO good!

Romney was so patient with the kids.
He stopped what he was doing when they needed some love.

At night after his work day, Jason would come help out.
We are grateful for good friends.

There was boxes, paper and wood planks everywhere.
It was chaos!
It was rough to live around it all.
BUT SO WORTH IT!

The good news is...
The floors got done before the blessing.
We had a house full of people on beautiful new floors.....

with no baseboards!

Baby Lanes Sealing

(November 10,2018)

What a sweet day for our family.
Baby Lane was sealed to us.
It was truly a glimpse of heaven.
It was pure joy to have all our children together in white in the temple.
It was a feeling of the strongest and most overwhelming love.
We are grateful.

Lane looked so darling in his little cable knit sweater outfit.
When Lane was being sealed to us he kept looking up over his right shoulder and left shoulder smiling at us.
All was perfect in the world.

Andie had been so excited to wear her white temple dress for weeks.

They all did  great in the temple.
When they brought the kids to us in the sealing room Andie kept saying so loudly
"OOOOHHHHH look at YOU!"
She thought we looked great.
It was so cute.

After the sealing we went out to take pictures.
Deanna and I happened to be twins.
Were so happy she could be there with us.

The Redlands Temple is special to us.
All three of our kids have been sealed to us there.

We came back to our house for Lanes baby blessing and a luncheon.
Ethan, and Chris have been friends with Romney since they were young boys.
We love them and are happy they came.

Aunt Penny got in all the snuggles.

I love Amy and appreciate her.
Her and Ethan flew in the night before and she got right to work helping me with getting the house ready and prepping food.

Cousins came and supported and we love them.

It was a beautiful day and we appreciate all who came near and far for baby Lanes special day.
We are done adding to our family so this was our last sealing.
It is bitter sweet.

But so grateful we are sealed as a forever family.

Halloween

 (October 2018)

Halloween time isn't complete unless we make pumpkin cookies like my grandma made.
Except we use chocolate chips NOT raisins.
The kids decorated their cookies...

and loved every bite...

Meanwhile... mummys boy hung out making sweet eyes with everyone.

This year for Halloween Miles wanted to be a bat...

Romney got him fun ears, and a funky nose which made him look fantastic!

Andie wanted to be a Mermaid Princess.

They had a great night trick or treating filling up their bags and buckets.

(and how is it possible that I didn't take a picture of Lane in his Baby Bat outfit???)

Baby Lane 5 months

(October 2018)

Baby boy!
This boy is 17 pounds of happy, calm, and easy going.
We appreciate him for these sweet qualities.
The kids like to see all the fun things they can do to him....
Like Miles glasses...

Lane can roll over both directions but really just prefers to roll from back to tummy...

...and is really starting to push up those arms!!
Oh no....that means crawling is on the horizon.

He loves watching Miles and Andie.
and loves his whisk!!!

This little stinker is going through major sleep regression and were all pretty tired around here!

But he is so happy so it is hard to be mad about it.
He is starting to figure out his exersaucer.

He still enjoys playing under his play mat with all the dangling toys.

Lane ended his 5 month with a helicopter ride over Kauai.

He LOVES his paci and has no problems taking it out of his mouth but hasn't figured out how to put it back in....
He is a fan of bathtime.
He is good at blowing raspberries.
He has started eating peas, zucchini, and avacado.
So far so good.
OH LANE, we sure adore you and are so happy you are here!

Andie and her STIRTS

Andie loves her tutu skirts.
She pronounces them "STIRTS"
She wears them all day everyday.
She gets dressed and tops her clothes of choice with a stirt!

We explore the outdoors in a stirt...
We walk with Minnie Mouse in a stirt...
We go to friends houses in a stirt...
We go apple picking in them...
We ride the Tea Cups in stirts...
We have to wear one with the catboy costume...
and we even sleep in them....
This dress up phase is pretty fantastic.
Being three years old brings a lot of joy to life!
She makes everyone SMILE in her STIRTS!
