Baby Lane 5 months

(October 2018)

Baby boy!
This boy is 17 pounds of happy, calm, and easy going.
We appreciate him for these sweet qualities.
The kids like to see all the fun things they can do to him....
Like Miles glasses...

Lane can roll over both directions but really just prefers to roll from back to tummy...

...and is really starting to push up those arms!!
Oh no....that means crawling is on the horizon.

He loves watching Miles and Andie.
and loves his whisk!!!

This little stinker is going through major sleep regression and were all pretty tired around here!

But he is so happy so it is hard to be mad about it.
He is starting to figure out his exersaucer.

He still enjoys playing under his play mat with all the dangling toys.

Lane ended his 5 month with a helicopter ride over Kauai.

He LOVES his paci and has no problems taking it out of his mouth but hasn't figured out how to put it back in....
He is a fan of bathtime.
He is good at blowing raspberries.
He has started eating peas, zucchini, and avacado.
So far so good.
OH LANE, we sure adore you and are so happy you are here!

Andie and her STIRTS

Andie loves her tutu skirts.
She pronounces them "STIRTS"
She wears them all day everyday.
She gets dressed and tops her clothes of choice with a stirt!

We explore the outdoors in a stirt...
We walk with Minnie Mouse in a stirt...
We go to friends houses in a stirt...
We go apple picking in them...
We ride the Tea Cups in stirts...
We have to wear one with the catboy costume...
and we even sleep in them....
This dress up phase is pretty fantastic.
Being three years old brings a lot of joy to life!
She makes everyone SMILE in her STIRTS!

Hawaii Wrap Up....

(September 2018)

As our week was coming to a close we had our last beach day in Hanalei Bay.
I could move to this exact spot and never move.
It is gorgeous.
It is peaceful.
It is fun!

Heather was a trooper in always being willing to snuggle Lane.

We all did our part in trying to keep this baby out of direct sunlight.
Ha, Lane was the TROOPER!
Romney and Miles had a great time boogie boarding together...
Miles and Tyson stood in the waves, ran from the waves, fell in the waves, swam in the waves....
...and celebrated in the waves.
Andie and Eden found endless amount to joy running down the sandy hill right behind where we were sitting.
Sand Castles were built....

And hugs were shared on this beach.

On our last day we decided to do a Helicopter tour of the Island.
We left all the kids at the house for Ashlyn to babysit.

All except for baby Lane.
Seeing this island from the top is AMAZING!
Even on our cloudy day we saw so much beauty.

We had so much fun and appreciated Lane being our chaperone.

The next morning it was time to go.
We were so sad to leave paradise.
We were loading up the cars and saw these cute kids at the bottom of the drive way.
We didn't want to leave!

Hawaii is such a great place to vacation with kids.
And I know we will be back!!

Hawaii Part III

(September 2018)

Kauai is just so beautiful.
On Sunday morning we went to church in thee cutest meeting house.
We only stayed for the first hour and of course had to take pictures of us in front.
It was so cute!
Miles is such a sweet brother and is always wanting to hold his baby brother.
Now that Lane is getting bigger and can hold his head up better we are letting Miles hold him while he is standing up and we even let him walk short distances with him.
Miles is loving that role!

Hawaii Part II

(September 2018)

 We hiked to Queens Bath.
This trail was muddy was so fun.
Some areas were pretty slippery but no one seemed to care one bit.
We loved having the Tangs with us.
Andie loved staying with Ashlyn and HAD to wear her "sturt" which is a tutu that we call a skirt.

We tried keeping baby Lane covered up as much as possible.
He isn't old enough for sunblock yet so we had to get creative...yet he still manged to get some sun.

We made our way to Queens Bath and the view was so beautiful.

We were so happy that the waves were small so the overflow into the bath was small and it wasn't dangerous to get into.
(You can see Romney and Miles swimming across it first)

Lane and I stayed up on the rocks while the bigger kids went in with Daddy.
Miles loved the black rock and found little tad poles in all the little water pockets and even caught a tiny black frog.
He was in reptile heaven once again.

We hiked back out and never got tired of all the root trees we had to walk through.

We made our way to Aninni Beach for the rest of the day.

Romney and I got to go on a little snorkeling date.
This was the murkiest water I had ever seen in Hawaii.
It made me kind of nervous about Sharks.
But the water was so shallow and the coral went so far out.
In fact, swimming was actually hard because our knees could and would scrape on the coral.
But once we got away from the coral we saw a massive sea turtle and thee longest sting ray we have ever seen.

As fun as it is to be out in the water and see amazing creatures, my favorite thing was to see
the kids and Romney playing in the sand together.

They had so much fun building sand castles and making bridges out of sea weed.

Our days at the beach never got old.
Not once.

And I just sat under an umbrella holding a sweet baby boy....

and loved every second of it.
